A Guide to Geomantic Site Harmonisation

Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt that something was off? Perhaps there is a space no one wants to spend time in, a pattern of things going wrong, or a little splinter in your mind that says there is something here worth paying attention to. I believe our homes and land are alive with relationship. Geomancy is one way of listening.

Geomancy is the art of listening to the living landscape. With dowsing, intuitive inquiry and relationship with the spirit of place, I explore what is moving beneath the surface: earth energies, water, the imprint of what has happened there, and the presences that may still linger. Every place has its own story. The first step is to listen.

We are not separate from the places we live. A home holds the life we bring into it, the echoes of what came before, and its own relationship with the earth beneath it. Some spaces welcome us in. Others seem to hold their breath. Sometimes you can feel it before you can explain it.

Geopathic stress is one way geomancers describe discordant patterns in the land, sometimes associated with underground water, faults or earth grids. I use dowsing to enquire into these patterns, alongside the subtler stories and presences of a place. This is a geomantic reading of the site; building and health concerns still deserve the right professional assessment.

My work is grounded in conscious connection. I ask, I listen, and I seek permission before intervening. If something calls for clearing, that may mean tending an earth pattern, releasing an old imprint, or helping a spirit move on. The aim is a more settled relationship between the people, the home and the land.

A prospective home can look wonderful on paper and still leave you with questions about how it feels to be there. The Geomancy Snapshot offers a remote reading of a property before a purchase or sale, exploring its subtle energetic character and points you may wish to consider.

It is an assessment only: no clearing or written report is included. Use it alongside the usual building, pest and legal checks as one more way of getting to know the place.

Reading the Site

A remote dowsing reading of your home or land. I follow the threads of its earth energies, histories and subtle ecology to see what may be asking to be heard.

Remote Site Harmonisation

After the reading, I work remotely with the site to clear or rebalance what has been identified. Each intervention is guided by discernment, permission and the particular relationship of the place.

Earth Energy Patterns

Dowsing for underground water, earth grids and other patterns within the land. We look at where these meet the home and whether anything calls for conscious intervention.

Imprints, Spirits & Ghosts

Some places carry old emotional imprints; some have spirits or ghosts that have not moved on. I enquire into what is present and, where invited and appropriate, help clear the imprint or support the spirit to move on.

People & Place

I think of the relationship between a place and its occupants as energetic entrainment. When the frequency of a place is distorted, people and non-human animals living there may carry an echo of that pattern in their own fields. In a site harmonisation, I work with the land and with its human and animal occupants, attending to the relationship between them rather than treating the place in isolation.

  • A room no one seems to want to spend time in
  • A sense that something in your home deserves attention
  • Curiosity about the history or spirit of a place
  • Unusual activity, a sensed presence or a recurring pattern
  • Animals favouring or avoiding certain areas
  • Curiosity about the land beneath your home
  • A move, renovation or new relationship with a place
  • A wish to listen to the land and connect more consciously

I am Kali, an animist practitioner, geomancer and Neuro Energetic Kinesiologist. I have never experienced land or home as an inert backdrop to our lives. I listen for the relationship between a place, the people who inhabit it, and the presences or histories it may hold.

I studied geomancy in the UK with Richard Creightmore, master dowser, Druid and water diviner. My work with Jewels Rocka has taken me into geopsychic stress, discordant energies, and yes, the ghosts and entities that sometimes go bump in the night. Clearing a place can mean helping a spirit move on as much as it can mean tending an earth energy pattern.

I studied geobiology and feng shui through ACES Australia with my beloved late mentor Katina Benis. I also work closely with master dowser Pete Hursey, continuing to deepen my understanding of dowsing and the living landscape.

Alongside this, I hold an Advanced Diploma and Certificate IV in Neuro Energetic Kinesiology and continue to study Functional Neuro Health. Each strand of my work brings me back to the same question: what changes when we really listen to the land, and to ourselves within it?

"Listening people. Speaking land. Conscious connection. Sometimes a place needs us to notice what it has been holding before anything can begin to shift."
